Rossignol B-Squad Carbon 130 (98 mm. 130 flex)
The boot testers who've been at it for a while can tell you: by the time a manufacturer works out the bugs and gets a boot really dialed, they usually decide it's time to go freshen it up--go improve it right out of existence. Well, based on veteran and rookie boot testers alike, the B-Squad Carbon has reached a pinnacle in its current form. This means that it fits better in the toebox and forefoot than ever and yet it's more snug through the ankle, heel, and instep than ever before. It's easier on and off than in previous versions. And not only does it look badass with the whole murdered-out motif it's rockin' (that and we were over the white thing), but the darker color makes it warmer--we swear it's true, with more U.V. absorption and all that. No, really. So what does this all mean? It means that we're not sure how long one of our favorites will stick around. Better get yours while supplies last.
Tester Comments
Scott Blackwell: "You can't overpower it. And agility? Might be the quickest of the test. Best comfort right out of the box--the only boot I've kept on while filling out the test form."
Jim Schaffner: "The faster I went the better it felt. Strong and powerful platform at the bottom of the turn. I could last all day in this boot."
Ross Duncan: "No negative thoughts after skiing this boot. Very high performance boot suitable for all conditions ripping."
Mark Elling: "One of those boots that you can forget you have on for testing and just go rip. Skis great!"
Kevin Gabriel: "High cuff felt great, powerful--nice and upright with perfect flex. Best of the best: fast and furious."
Erik Korman: "The carbon-laced cuff yields some super-power tendencies! Nice comfort factor--warm too!"
Jeff Rich: "Good for long legs--let Erik keep this boot."
Laurent "Larry" Smith: "Put 'em on, buckle up, and go 'till the lifts close."
