Emerging victorious with a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy wasn’t unexpected for Gretchen, who aspired to compete in the Olympics since she found her passion at age 11. She has been at the forefront of snowboarding ever since, winning countless titles and awards, appearing on talk shows and traveling the world like a jet-setting celebrity. Despite the media blitz, however, the aspen local is still the girl next door who is never too busy to smile and say hello.

Her glowing personality, combined with sheer talent, rendered her a true role model and pioneer in the sport.

Seth Morrison

Always pushing the envelope, always looking forward, Morrison is one of the few godfathers of the action sports world who have remained at the forefront of their sport for more than a decade. One of the hardest working pros in the industry, Seth’s incredible staying power is a testimony to his constant evolution as a skier. His uncanny ability to read terrain and manipulate it to his advantage is unmatched in the ski world. Morrison is the anti-claimer, quietly seeking the gnarliest line and executing it to perfection.

The 37-year-old Coloradan has come to define a provocative combination of style, insanity and talent for the newest generation of skiers. After lifting the public’s eyes to freeskiing culture and even stretching his hand to them with his own pro model ski, Morrison consistently tops Powder Magazine’s Reader Polls and was acknowledged as one of “the most influential skiers of our time.”

In addition to his Oakley Signature Series Crowbar goggle and Pro Rider Series apparel (Primed Jacket and Pant), Morrison and K2 re-designed the ObSETHed skihttp://blogs.powdermag.com/buyers-guide-2011/2011-k2-obsethed-skis/. He also launched a backpack from Black Diamond and a pro model Troy Lee Designs helmet.

Seth is the center of attention in an upcoming Oakley ski film, which will show skiing in a different light and highlight some aspects of the sport that aren’t normally conveyed in films. Morrison spent last season filming in Alaska, Chamonix, South America and more. This second and final season of filming will be spent in Retallack, B.C., Colorado, the Alps and Alaska.
